THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
Below are recorded points of masterful advice to those captains and rogues amongst you that seek to influence the outcome of this war-strewn land.
The path to conquest is made all the easier if you know what victories count...

1) TO DEFEND IS NOT TO WIN
It is not enough to consistently focus your forces and defend a single region. Success at home is a fool's prize if the world burns around you!
This means that simply having the highest total victories does not always equate to winning the war. If all your successes are concentrated in a single location and you fail to contest others, this allows narrow victories in multiple regions to carry an enemy to conquest.
Strike out and sally forth towards your enemy!

2) ONCE MORE INTO THE BREACH? FOR ONE IS NOT ENOUGH...
The calculation between Disputed, Narrow and Unhindered control over the theatres of battle is a precise science that the finest scribes and scholars of the Euhedral Library, in all its majesty, have contrived to formulate.
Suffice is to say that simply winning one more battle then your foes will not be enough to gain a controlling foothold, let alone carry you to victory. Such measly gains are quickly wiped out in the ebb & flow of a campaign. When you win, endeavor to push on and win again and drive the enemy before you!
